ASP.Net MVC Developer

Recent real-world developments including the increased reliance on renewable power generation and a changing political landscape have increased corporate demand for environmental risk management. Job Description
This is an opportunity for a flexible and adaptable candidate to be involved in the continued development of major websites related to climate/environmental risk transfers (see www.weatherxchange.com, www.speedwellclimate.com, www.clearweather.com, www.speedwellsettlementservices.com). These pull together our existing resources of climate data and forecasts, climate risk pricing software and messaging. The websites transform the way that climate risk products are made available to the market.
We are looking for a full stack ASP.Net web developer to support and continue to develop our strategically significant websites (and back end services) which build upon and expand our product offering.
Essential Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 2 years (ideally 4+ years) of hands-on experience in Microsoft NET & SQL Server
- Extensive experience with C#, ASP.NET, MVC Razor, Bootstrap, jQuery, Typescript.
- Experience designing attractive UIs is required.
- Experience building and consuming XML/JSON Web Services.
Interpersonal skills
- Self‐motivated individual with a strong desire to develop innovative techniques
- Creative, positive-minded, and able to collaborate in team environment
- Trustworthy with professional outlook, suitable for a regulated organization
Other skills of interest
- Experience with .Net 6 and ASP.NET Core
- Experience of working using agile methodologies.
- Experience using TFS / DevOps
- Familiarity in WebForms (to maintain and convert old website)
- Familiarity with Blazor (to develop new website)
Please note that experience or knowledge of the climate risk market is not necessary.
